Mr. Hankee believes in supporting our community as well as those in need. We understand that a pocket square is not a necessity and that there are others in much more need. Starting 2014 and going forward we will be donating ten percent of our net revenue to the Fill My Cup Program:
Batul is a four year old who lives with her mother and father. Her father is a watchman earning a mere $7 USD per day to take care of his family of five children. Unfortunately, this does not cover their daily expenses and they are struggling to earn enough to nourish their family and lead a healthy life.
There are many children like Batul in Kenya who do not receive proper meals as their families cannot afford to provide their children meals that contain the right nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. Children are the most evident victims of under-nutrition; poorly nourished children suffer up to 160 days of illness each year. Poor nutrition also plays a major role in at least half of the 10.9 million child deaths each year.
By providing a cup of porridge to the students each morning, the "Fill My Cup" program has:
* Seen more children enrolling in schools and Madaris
* Encouraged the children to arrive at school on time
* Made the children feel loved and respected
